Chemical Name: DILTIAZEM (dil-TYE-a-zem)
Cardizem CD is used to treat high blood pressure and to control chest pain (angina). It works by relaxing the blood vessels so the heart does not have to pump as hard. It also increases the supply of blood and oxygen to the heart.

Cautions:
SIDE EFFECTS that may occur while taking this medication includes dizziness or lightheadedness, flushing, headache, excessive tiredness, slower heartbeat, upset stomach, loss of appetite, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain, dry mouth and difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep.
