Nitoman (Tetrabenazine) is used to treat movement disorders. Typically it is used for the treatment of hyperkinetic movement disorders such as Huntington's disease and other conditions with chorea, hemiballismus and tardive dyskinesia. Nitoman (Tetrabenazine) works by depleting the brain's supply of the neurochemical dopamine.
Cautions:
SIDE EFFECTS that may occur while taking this medication include depression, drowsiness, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain and low blood pressure.
