Proheart for dogs is a tablet used for the prevention of heartworm disease. Proheart Tablets contain the active ingredient Moxidectin (not ivermectin) and are given once a month for the prevention of heartworm disease caused by the parasitic worm Dirofilaria Immitis in dogs.

Proheart eliminates the heartworm larvae that infect the dog during the previous month.

Yellow: 204mg Moxidectin 100-150lbs

Red: 136mg Moxidectin 50-100lbs

Green : 68mg Moxidectin 23-50lbs

Blue: 30mg Moxidectin 2-22lbs

The usual dose of Proheart is 1.36mg/lb

Proheart is given once a month, year round for the prevention of heartworm disease.It is approved for use in puppies as young as 4 weeks, breeding bitches and stud dogs. Proheart has a wide margin of safety for all sizes and breeds of dogs including Collies.

Do not use in puppies under 4 weeks of age. This medication should not be used in animals allergic to it. Heartworm testing should be performed prior to the start of prevention therapy. Proheart prevents heartworm infections. It is not a treatment for existing heartworm disease.

This product causes eye irritation in humans and is harmful if swallowed. Call poison control center if swallowed. Wash hands after use.
